Backing is leakproof and meets ASTM F1670-B and ASTM F1671 standards for critical fluid and viral barrier performance. This is the same material surgical gowns are made of.

Sandwiched in the center is fabric similair to mestrual underwear. That fabric is absorbent by virtue of it’s knit construction; it’s not made with SAP (super absorbent polymers), so the absorbency lasts for the lifetime of the quilt. 100% Free of PFOS, PFOA, lead, dioxins, heavy metals & BPA.
